Welcome to Pete’s Page
Is Israel still a part of God’s plan in world history? Many Christians don’t think so. Is Israel a key to world events? The Bible says it is. Should we pray for Israel? The Bible tells us we should. As a part of my ongoing support and prayer for Israel this page is a keyhole look of what is going on in Israel currently, what God is doing and what to pray for. Because world events are moving so swiftly that it is hard to keep up, I hope this will help a little, Shalom, Pete 🙂
” If you want to know what time it is on God’s clock, look at Israel. Understand Israel – it’s the only nation that has its origin, history, ups and downs, and destiny all written out in advance for the diligent. Every time you encounter a Jew you are witnessing a miracle. No race on the planet has endured more systematic, heavily resourced attempts to wipe it out than the Jewish race. The fact that there are Jews alive today is a miracle; the fact that their nation has been re-established in Israel is not only a miracle, it’s on schedule! And there’s more to come. How tragic it is when, even in Christian theology, Israel has been substantially dismissed. Five-sixths of the Bible is about Israel – from Genesis 12 to Revelation 22. And yet how many churches teach that the Church has replaced Israel? Be careful. Do your own home-work; check it out… … … …For every prophecy of Jesus’ first coming, there are eight for His Second Coming. And the more we examine the circumstances necessary for that Second Coming, the more we will recognize that they are being nudged into place.” ―
Replacement Theology – The Root of the Problem
Replacement Theology or Supersessionism has been around in the Christian Church for the last 2000 years. Strangely, this has gained a grip in this last generation in spite of the fact that just over 70 years ago Israel became a nation again. It teaches that Old Testament teaching in now obsolete and is now not relevant to contemporary Christianity.
So, the deception is… that the New Testament Church has now taken the place of the Jews as God’s Chosen People (OT Church). The root of Replacement Theology is Satan’s hatred of the Jewish people. Satan hates the Jews with a passion for a number of reasons:
= God chose them to be His witness to the world.
= Through them God gave the world the Bible.
= Through them God gave the world the Messiah.
= God has promised that He will save a great remnant of them.
= God has promised that through that remnant He will bless all the nations of the world during the Millennial reign of Jesus.
= The angel told us Jesus return will be on the Mount of Olives in Israel from which he ascended.
Satan is determined to destroy Israel and every Jew on planet earth so that God cannot keep His promises to them. No Israel… no place for Christ to return to… how can we respond to this?
Firstly we are to tell tell others of God plans for Israel and that he has not rejected them.
Romans 11: 1I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew.
Romans 9: 1 “I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit— 2 I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, 4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. 5 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.”
Then we must pray both for the peace of Jerusalem and the salvation of the Jews so they come into an intimate knowlege of their messiah Jesus…
John 14: 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”.
Romans 1: 16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,e]”>[e] just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’”

6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
And when Jesus appears in His Second Coming,
“…they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn” (Zechariah 12:10)
They will receive Yeshua as their Messiah, and they will cry out “Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai.” (Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!) What a glorious day that will be. What glory it will bring to the Father.
The Rapture of the Believers
Before this happens Jesus will return to gather His ‘born again’ believers in the air, this is called “The Rapture.” Millions of people will suddenly disappear from life on earth. This will be a prompt to the Jews to cry out Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus our Messiah)! Meanwhile, we continue to pray and we await that day.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Let us meet each new day with the cry of “Maranatha! Come quickly Lord Jesus!”
